Description of the trip

After landing at Evenes Airport, we take the bus which stops right outside the door of the house at the small square Sjøvoll in the Fiskefjord. After everyone has unpacked in one of the 5 bedrooms, we take a tour of the property to get acquainted with the house and the boathouse. It will also be time for a little trip on the fjord to get to know the two "Rana Fisk" boats that we will use during our stay. On the first night, Nils, with their assistance in the kitchen, will dish out a tasty dinner, which is guaranteed to consist of short-traveled ingredients from Nils own catch. .

Day 2 is set off for a real get to know Lofoten day, and therefore starts right after breakfast with us being picked up by a minibus that will take us around on a proper day trip. On the tour we visit the most famous places such as Svolvær, Kabelvåg and Henningsvær. And if the weather permits, it is planned for a little trip on the Tjeldbergtind with its fantastic views. Lofoten in winter costume with its clear colored pastel color play is an experience in itself, where the short days provide good opportunities to see the northern lights in all its dense veil of green, or vibrant color explosions like nature's own fireworks. At lunch, you will have the opportunity to sample the famous screech mill at one of the many great fish restaurants on the peninsula.

Day 3 and 4 it is clear for one of the highlights of the trip in the double sense. The alpine guides pick up the group that is ready to carry themselves on spectacular top skiing. Adaptation and review of equipment, landslide assessment and skiing techniques are matters that are reviewed here. The day ends with a trip to xxx where each one gets to feel a little on their own skills and get ready for tomorrow.

Day 4 we start early for the trip to Vestvågøy, where we intend to make two top trips on the same day. Although the peaks themselves are not so high, this corresponds to approx. 1300 to 1400 altitude meters in one day, with the sun in your face both in the morning and afternoon.

After 2 days of skiing at altitude, day 5 is ready to hunt for big cod. There is normally good fishing in the Fiskefjord, and it is not uncommon to catch fish weighing well over 10 kilos in the boat. It will therefore be possible both to secure the evening's dinner, as well as some nice fillets to take home.

Day 6 is ready to pack up and take the bus back to Evenes Airport for the trip back home.

Included in the price

Accommodation in an authentic "Lofoten house" with soul from the 1970s. All meals, where one also participates in the preparation itself. Rental of boat, equipment and fishing gear. Access and use of bowls, vacuum packing machine and freezer. Bus tour with lunch for day 2. All transport days 3 and 4. Hire of ski equipment, and approved alpine guides both days. Drinks for lunch and dinner are not included.
